Stu holds an Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 Certificate in Mentoring and Coaching. He has led a final-year undergraduate module training students as music coaches for five years.
Stu has been a Senior Lecturer at the University of Westminster since 1999. He mainly works for the BA (Hons) Commercial Music course, which is almost unchallenged as the world’s best commercial music qualification. He specialises in the concert and festival industry and in supervising students’ large-scale final year projects such as albums, tours and company startups. He designed and delivered, 2010-2016, a very successful programme of Continuing Professional Development for Commercial Music.
Stu also supervises final projects on the university’s MA Music Business Management course and lectures on coaching for creatives for Westminster Business School. Top

Since 2011, Stu has led Sun Lotus Taiko, a drumming duo that plays mainly at outdoor events including Glastonbury 2015. He composes, performs, books shows and maintains social media channels.

Stu lives with his partner Helen in Totnes, South Devon. He has a son, Ben, who is a music producer.
